This area of former grazing land opposite the Hutton industrial estate in Brentwood is now a country park. It is mainly open grassland with some thick hedges and scattered patches of woodland and scrub. It has some marshy areas with tall aquatic vegetation and is bordered on its northern edge by the River Wid.

Visiting

Entrance on Wash road opposite the Hutton industrial estate. Enter Wash Road from the south off the A129 Brentwood–Billericay, or from the north via Lower Road which turns off the B1002 just north of the A12/A1023 junction. SatNav: CM13 1TA.

Buses from the centre of Brentwood run along Wash Road up to the industrial estate.
